Refund policy

Last updated: 21 March 2026

This policy explains how refunds work for paid access to PHP to Rust: Learning Platform. It applies alongside your statutory rights where you are a consumer.

1. What you are buying

A one-time purchase typically grants ongoing access to the digital course for as long as we reasonably offer the service. You should review the product description at checkout before paying.

2. Cooling-off and digital content

If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you normally have a statutory right to cancel distance contracts within 14 days. For digital content delivered immediately, that right may be lost if you expressly agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once delivery has begun. Our checkout and confirmation flow is designed to reflect that where applicable.

If you believe you were charged in error or did not receive the access you paid for, contact us—we will investigate and put things right, including a refund where appropriate.

3. When we will usually offer a refund

We aim to be fair. Examples where we will typically approve a refund include:

  • you were charged twice for the same purchase;
  • technical failure on our side prevented you from obtaining access after payment and we could not fix it within a reasonable time;
  • you did not receive access at all after a successful payment.

4. When a refund may be declined

We may decline a refund where, for example:

  • a significant portion of the course has already been used and the statutory cooling-off period has expired or been waived as above;
  • the request is made long after purchase without a clear fault on our side;
  • access was revoked for breach of our terms (e.g. sharing or redistributing course materials).

Each case is reviewed individually; nothing here limits rights you cannot contract out of under applicable law.

5. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account where possible, and include your account email and approximate date of purchase. Refunds, when approved, are generally returned to the original payment method via our payment provider (for example Stripe) and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Purchases are governed by the policy in force at the time of purchase unless a change is required by law or clearly more favourable to you.
